So I researched all this, and yes, Tumblr HAS been bought by Yahoo but to calm you all down… Here is what they claim: 

“Reports on the deal say that Tumblr’s 26-year-old CEO David Karp will be able to operate fairly autonomously. Karp will be locked into a four-year deal to stay at Tumblr, All Things reported. That should assuage the fears of any Tumblr users about how things could change (for the worse) under Yahoo.”

It seems Yahoo is helping with the funding but won’t contribute too much to doing anything to Tumblr. So hopefully not much will change guys, so don’t panic. Please pass this on to everyone else.
